Hull Marina is a marina for pleasure boats situated in the English city of Kingston upon Hull. It was opened in 1983 on the site of the former Railway dock and Humber docks. The marina is home to 270 berths and during the summer plays host to the city's Jazz and Sea Shanty Festivals. Very un-friendly for families who dare to have more than one child! Very un-friendly for families who dare to have more than one child! I would review the hotel in full but I have just tried for the third time in 2 years to book a room with Holiday Inn (InterContinentalHotelGroup) to be told our family is just too large. My wife and I have two boys (6and 3) and a baby under one. We have said that we'd bring our own cot, the boys could "top to tail" if the sofa bed in the family rooms are just single beds. All our offers and plea's for help as a family of five from ICHG are flatly rebuffed with the offer of 2 non connecting rooms and no advice as to why my wife and I should want to spend the weekend apart from each other. A very poor show indeed Holiday Inn, 0 out of 5 for families. Travelodge here we come (highly recommended for families)!
