- 5 months ago Good atmosphere! drink/ food ok
- 5 months ago Great location although lacking character which is quite impressive given the building & history.
- 10 months ago I have never seen a pub fill up as quick as this place did on a Sunday Afternoon when it rained. However the service was excellent (managed to seat 20 of us) and the food was well worth it as well.
- a year ago Good for lunch but not at weekends. Tasty food, reasonable portions, friendly staff, great views. What more could you ask? Fantastic place for lunch on a summer's day. UPDATE Visited this place at lunch time on a weekend and Oh Dear. Oh Dear Me. Filthy tables, variable staff attitude and monumentally slow food service. Went with my housemate and her friend and we waited 45 minutes for disappointing fish and chips and OK vege-burgers. Icing on the cake was the pile of menus stuck together with beer. Nice touch. Possibly spend some money on employing a couple of extra weekend staff??
- 9 months ago Sublime tasting ale! Worth the long walk to get here from the other side of town.
