We have recently returned from a fabulous extended family holiday at Sleepy Hollow Cottages. We stayed in all three cottages which was brilliant for having our own space, but also great for doing things together as well. Our group ranged from 8 years old to 60+ and there was plenty of places to see and visit to suit everyone in our party. The cottages themselves were also a lovely base when people fancied a quiet day in and perfect for fun evening get togethers when we returned from exploring. Trevor and Cath were extremely welcoming, helpful and accommodating and the children loved playing in the beautiful gardens whilst the adults enjoyed relaxing in the surroundings. I would highly recommend Sleepy Hollow Cottages for a lovely family holiday.

Stayed at Sleepy Hollow during May 2011. Cath and Trevor were very friendly, hospitable and helpful and the accomodation was well appointed and comfortable in a tranquil and picturesque spot. We enjoyed walks around the immediate locality of Barton St David / Keinton Mandeville and also further afield to Somerton, Glastonbury and Street. Cycling was very good too along some lovely quiet and scenic routes. Castle Cary, Langport and the Polden Hills all within easy reach by bike. Enjoyed two meals in The Quarry Inn in Keinton Mandeville - 25 mins walk from Sleepy Hollow. Wide-ranging menu of well-cooked food, including a very good selection of vegetarian options and very friendly and pleasant landlord/lady.

We stayed in Sleepy Hollow Cottages (Nap Cottage) during March 2011. The accommodation was lovely - having some great features such as wood burning stove / spiral stair case. We were lucky enough to have great weather during our stay, although we can imagine that Nap cottage is a very cosy to place to stay during those cold winter nights! Cath and Trevor were very welcoming and very hospitable! As well as great accommodation, being in Barton St. David, Sleepy Hollow is great for exploring the local area such as Glastonbury and local Cider farms (I am sure Cath and Trev would be happy to suggest good places to visit if you have time during your stay!). I would highly recommend Sleepy Hollow as a relaxing retreat, and look forward to staying again soon!

A hidden gem in a beautiful setting. That is just one way to describe the wonderful Sleepy Hollow Cottages. From the moment you arrive you know you have found five star accommodation. Cath and Trev are guaranteed to provide you with a warm welcome, we were greeted with a freshly baked apple pie, with cream! The cottage we stopped in, Leep, was very well maintained, spotlessly clean and had all the features you could have wished for in a holiday home. We really did find it a home away from home. The location of the cottage is within a short car journey of Glastonbury, and really well placed to strike out towards the wonderful Dorset or Somerset coastlines. Glastonbury is not only fascinating, but has all the local shops and amenities that you'll need to support your stay in this superb self catering accommodation. The week we stopped there over August Bank Holiday weekend 2010 the weather was fantastic and allowed us to take full advantage of all local attractions. We would highly ... Show full review

We stayed in the lovely Sleepy Hollow Cottages, with our two little girls and our dog over the Christmas period. It was our base for visiting family members who live nearby. The accommodation was spotless, very well maintained, and very cosy considering the freezing temperatures outside! Trevor and Cath were very hospitable indeed and even offered to go to Tescos for us before we arrived! Barton St David is a peaceful hamlet and with the towns of Street and Glastonbury near by we weren't short of places to visit. Our dog made full use of the paddock to have her morning run and I am told that there is an area for children that can be used in the warmer times. We are looking forward to staying there again during the summer months. We would recommend Sleepy Hollow as a good place to stay and enjoy beautiful Somerset.
